Day by day

  1. 1

    Arusha to central Serengeti

    Early departure from Arusha, driving northwest via the Ngorongoro highlands and down onto the Serengeti plains (roughly 6-7 hours with stops). Enjoy a game drive en route to camp in the Seronera area, watching for lion, giraffe and elephant. Dinner and overnight at a tented camp.

    Full day in the Serengeti

    A full day exploring the Seronera Valley and surrounding plains, famous for its resident lion prides and leopards draped in sausage trees. With a packed lunch you can stay out through the golden light of afternoon. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

    Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

    Leave the Serengeti and drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, descending 600 metres to the crater floor for a half-day game drive. Look for black rhino, hippo pods, flamingos and dense concentrations of grazers. Ascend in the afternoon and transfer back to Arusha, arriving in the evening.
