From other cities: From Dar es Salaam take the Azam Marine fast ferry (about two hours) or a short flight on Coastal, Auric or ZanAir into Zanzibar, then continue by road to the north coast.
Getting around: Private transfers and taxis are the easiest way to reach and get around the north; shared daladalas run to Stone Town, and dhows handle short sea transfers and Mnemba diving trips.
