From other cities: From Dar es Salaam, Bagamoyo is reached by road in roughly one and a half to two hours; there is no scheduled passenger airport in the town itself, so most visitors arrive by car, taxi or bus from the city.
Getting around: Around town, get about on foot, by bajaji (three-wheeler), boda-boda motorbike or local taxi; dhows and boats serve the beaches and offshore islands such as Lazy Lagoon.
