Where it is

Getting to & around Nyerere (Selous)

From other cities: Scheduled carriers such as Coastal Aviation and Auric Air fly from Dar es Salaam to the park's airstrips (e.g. Mtemere, Siwandu) in under an hour; alternatively, road transfers reach the Mtemere and Matambwe gates in roughly five to six hours from Dar via Mloka.

Getting around: Inside the park, movement is by safari 4x4 game drive and, distinctively, by boat safari on the Rufiji River; there is no public transport within Nyerere.
