Day by day

1. 1

   Fly to Ruaha National Park

   Take a light-aircraft flight from Dar es Salaam or Arusha to Ruaha's airstrip. Transfer to your camp with a game drive en route, watching for elephant and giraffe among the baobabs. Afternoon at leisure or an evening drive. Overnight at a tented camp.

2. 2

   Full day in Ruaha

   A full day exploring the tracks along the Great Ruaha River and the surrounding hills, prime territory for lion, leopard and wild dog. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

3. 3

   Ruaha game drives and walking

   Continue exploring Ruaha's varied landscapes, with the option of a guided walking safari to learn about tracks, plants and smaller creatures. Watch for large elephant herds and the park's abundant birdlife. Overnight at your tented camp.

4. 4

   Departure

   A final morning game drive before transferring to the airstrip for your light-aircraft flight back to Dar es Salaam or Arusha, connecting with onward travel.
