Flying in from abroad
International visitors
Fly into Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), located between Moshi and Arusha and about 45 minutes from Moshi town.
From elsewhere in Tanzania
Upcountry & other cities
JRO handles domestic jets from Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar, while regular buses and shuttles connect Moshi with Arusha, Dar es Salaam and Nairobi.
Getting around locally
Once you're in the region
Around Moshi, daladalas, bajaji and taxis cover the town and slopes, and climbing operators transfer trekkers directly to the park gates.
