International visitors
Fly into Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) near Arusha, the main gateway for the northern circuit.
From elsewhere in Tanzania
Upcountry & other cities
Light aircraft fly daily from Arusha to Serengeti airstrips including Seronera (SEU), Kogatende and Grumeti, the fastest way in; many visitors also drive via Ngorongoro.
Getting around locally
Once you're in the region
Within the park, travel is by 4x4 safari vehicle with a guide, with balloon flights available at dawn over the central plains.
